Spectacular Tobago Cays

Hi Friends!

Long time no see :) As you may have seen from our videos, we have FINALLY been able to be on the move! And let me tell ya, we've been on the move a lot. Due to that, I've been slacking on blogging (so sorry). WiFi has been spotty and we've really only been spending 2-3 days in each anchorage so sometimes it's hard to even find a restaurant with WiFi. Anyways, I'm here now and I want to catch you up a bit!

We spent American Thanksgiving in the beautiful Tobago Cays. We have heard from nearly every cruiser how amazing this place was, but it definitely exceeded all of our expectations. Tobago Cays was only about a 6 hour sail from where we launched in Carriacou. It's a marine park and only has three main islands that are, at most, 500 yards long. The rest of it is beautiful waters and reefs with TONS of snorkeling. There were probably dozens of turtles swimming under/around our boat at all times, and we even found a stingray!

It was my first time snorkeling in a reef and let me tell you... it was incredible. For me, when I look at super clear blue water, that's where I want to swim because it's so pretty. Well Travis pointed to a dark spot in the water and was like "let's go snorkel there". I was like "uhhh okay but it's not very clear over there". Little did I know that's where all the amazing fish and coral was! I was pleasantly surprised.

It was very hard for us to be away from our families during Thanksgiving, and it definitely didn't feel like a normal holiday for us. We missed everyone greatly, but we were so blessed to be able to spend a couple days in truly the most beautiful place we have ever witnessed.

We miss you all back home!

PS- if you haven't seen it already, we have a video of our time in Tobago Cays on our YouTube :)
